Android Glossary

ROOT
What is root? root is the process to change from regular user privilage become superuser / in other words, like being a Administaror in windows os. Rooting actually in use in terms of Linux, aimed at gaining full rights in an OS, so that later we can do whatever we want after getting this right (in terms of software).

Advantages root:
- Allows to install app2sd.
- Can create a custom theme.
- Can use applications that require access privilage


Note: do not change the appearance of root, root does not make the devices become faster, root does not necessarily make the device becomes unstable, reducing the internal memory, freeing up ram or other.

APP2SD
App2SD actually a fiture natively on the operating sytem android 2.2 (froyo).App2SD allow users to store multiple applications within SDCARD. But this feature has a limitation on the froyo, which can be implemented if indeed app2sd applications that we download is allowed to be installed into the sdcard.

Flashing & Firmware 
Flashing is generally the replacement of the firmware version, can be upgraded depending on the availability of ato downgrade the firmware itself. The firmware itself can be said to be a version of the operating system. Flashing is only done for the advance user.

Overclock 
make a device to run on higher speeds than the provisions of that device makers. The principle is to create higher performance. But this treatment are at risk of causing a decreased stability of the system until the destruction of computer peripherals that dioveclock. Overclock usually practiced by the PC user to "force" the computer peripherals to work beyond the capacity of the manufacturer specified standards with the ultimate goal to improve the performance of computer work.
PC devices that the overclock is tantamount to being forced beyond its original capabilities. However, overclock this PC, in addition to making the system becomes unstable, can cause damage to hardware, especially Mainboard, RAM, and Processor.
